Everyone is certainly aware of the term “dog breath,” and it is rarely used to describe something positive. We at Albert’s Finest have made it our mission to clear the air about the mouths of our most loyal companions. In our efforts we created one of the first 100% Organic Healthy Breath Freshening Gourmet Dog Cookie. When approaching the dog breath situation we first had to look at the sources of dog breath.

Sources of Bad Breath:

Bad oral hygiene

Diet - or even eating something REALLY smelly.

Sugary foods – bacteria in the back of the throat feeds off the sugar.

Poor digestion in the stomach, constipation, or bowel disorders may create gas which exits the mouth. A lack of acid in the stomach causes poor digestion, so undigested food will pass into the intestines, rot and give off foul gas which rises up and causes bad breath.

Stress - surprisingly can negatively affect the digestive enzymes

Dehydration – will also throw off the digestive system

IMPORTANT:
Bad breath can also be a sign of a serious medical condition like diabetes, ulcers, acid reflux, hypoglycemia, kidney or liver problems to name a few.

Several of the above mentioned sources of bad dog breath can easily be avoided with normal dog care and grooming by simply by treating your dog kindly, ensuring that your dog is getting enough water and giving regular teeth bushings. There are also many dog treats that help aid in fighting dog breath but most of them are lab created and/or are unhealthy and contain sugar.

Benefits of Our Dog Breath Fighting Cookies Offer:

No Sugar – for health reasons and dog breath reasons NONE of our dog cookies have any sugar added.

Organic Peppermint – Peppermint helps cover and freshen your dogs breath instantly like a breath mint. Peppermint has been used as a breath remedy for thousands of years.

Organic Parsley – Chewing parsley has also been a remedy used for thousands of years. Parsley is very high in chlorophyll and while being digested it will continue to improve and maintain bad breath long after it has been eaten. This herb reduces the production of intestinal gas by promoting better digestion.

Albert’s Finest currently offers two flavors with our all natural dog breath fighting power and they are PB Fresh and Mint Carob Chip

If you would like to learn more about our dog breath fighting cookies please visit the products page of our website. If we all do our part we can reverse the bad name that dog breath has received. And who knows some day “dog breath” may actually become a term of endearment.
